Music Lessons by Music Monkeys

About the Class

Music Monkeys are excited to be starting a 12-week term at Waters Edge on Tuesday 5th September, offering sensory rich music classes for children up to 4 years old.

This term will be split into two parts:

1. ‘All About Me’ which will be packed full of action songs designed to teach little ones about the brilliant things they can do with their arms, legs and wiggly fingers. We will also focus on the sense of sight, sound and touch through the use of varied instruments and props that each child will have the chance to explore. Older ones will be encouraged to work together as we incorporate activities designed to strengthen social skills and develop friendships.

2. ‘Building and Transport’ will further develop coordination along with gross and fine motor skills, as this block of classes will focus on all of the amazing ways we can travel across fields, over bumpy hills, along rushing rivers and up to the moon. Children will develop a sense of rhythm and counting skills as they march and zoom around the room, shake the parachute and fling balls up into the air, letting their imaginations run wild. We will jump off our diggers and spend time perfecting our hammering skills and building brilliant things.

Our classes are full of fun and we always encourage adults to join in to help the children get the most out of each session. No two classes are the same and while we welcome drop ins, regular attendance really helps the children develop friendships and routines, and allows them to build on the language, numeracy and motor skills week on week.

• 24th, 31st October
• 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th November

Timings

• 9:30 – 10:00 am  – 18 months old to 4 years old
• 10:15 – 10:45 am – 3-18 months
